In Proverbs 3:5-6, truth says, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
The Daily Dig!
Almost a year ago, I felt a stirring in my spirit that God was closing a chapter in my life.
After years of leading teams and managing large community events in Arizona, I witnessed firsthand the remarkable growth of the church I helped build. The church had expanded from just a few dozen members to several thousand over six years.
My teams were flourishing, and I was living the dream—doing what I loved. Yet, deep inside, a sense of anticipation grew stronger; I sensed a new season was approaching. When the moment came for me to resign, it was as if I had no choice but to step into the unknown.
The Journey
Without a financial plan or a clear path ahead, I knew the journey wouldn’t be easy.
However, I felt compelled to obey—not from a place of fear, but from one of hope.
While the path wasn’t visible to me, I trusted that God could see beyond my understanding.
Taking The Leap Into Success
A year later, I now celebrate the successful completion of my certification in life and transformation coaching, launched a business and ministry dedicated to fostering health in individuals and teams, and am in the midst of planning exciting new events for our community and for women.
Taking that leap was all I needed to do; trusting God with the rest has brought me an unexpected peace. Change requires a choice.
Consider This:
When you allow God to work in your life, there’s a part of you that’ll want to move forward with Him and then there’s another part of you that may fight to maintain your current reality because your comfortable with the familiar, even if the familiar doesn’t and hasn’t been bringing you life for a very long time.
Navigating into the new always involves a choice- a will. “Will I or will I not take the next step?” “Will I or will I not trust that God is leading me into what’s greatest for me, even if the how doesn’t make sense?” Let Him take the how, you just take the step.
Pray with me?
Lord, We are grateful for what you have planned for us. Sometimes though, the good things in store are often overshadowed by old expectations and the life we have always known, our own understanding. Bring us to a place where we truly believe and trust you with what is next.
In Jesus Name,
Amen.
