Contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter Lauren Daigle recently took to Instagram with a warning to her fans. One commenter said, "God bless you for this message. How kind and responsible of you. Merry Christmas Lauren. ❤️"
Daigle joins a mass of other celebrities who have had their fans targeted in an online hoax. She posted, "PSA DON'T GET SCAMMED" in response to what one fan called, "Nothing but the devil working overtime..."
The songstress went on to say, "Hey everyone. it's L.D. I wanted to warn you about scams that are going around. Unfortunately, there are people who are using my name to trick you into giving them money or personal information to set up meet & Greets with me."
One respondent said, "Thanks for this information. They got me with this last year, but no more. Enjoy your time off!"
Daigle continued, "Please remember that I WILL NEVER DM you asking for money or personal info. If someone is claiming to be me or my manager, and asking for these things, it's a SCAM!"
She went on warning and thanking fans for their love and support. To read her full statement, click here.
