Earlier this year my 15-year old son was invited to play in the Puerto Rico Collegiate Summer Baseball League. So off to Puerto Rico we went. It was an unforgettable experience for all of us. I am so proud of my son!
Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory of the U.S. full of lovely people and amazing places to shop and eat. We visited, Old San Juan, Dorado, Rincon, and Isabela. This beautiful Caribbean island is picturesque and stunning, and there was delicious food everywhere!
We found ourselves wanting to go back to places we had already been because we loved the food and atmosphere, but there was also excitement in moving on to find the next great place!
I love being where my family is, and we love exploring this beautiful world that God has created. The memories are engraved in my heart forever, but as the saying goes, “a picture says a thousand words”.
The eggs and homemade bread were from a small little convenient store on the corner. It was like waking up to the best Mama/ Grandma homemade breakfast you could ever ask for! It was honestly the best morning! So delicious!
The yummy chicken basket was from Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort. Some of the best fried chicken ever! So crispy and a little spicy but not too much! Oh so good!
The fruit bowl with the beautiful edible flower is from Cafe 413 in Rincon. The strawberry pancakes, and fried with edible flower pictured are also from Cafe 413. This cafe was one of our faves for sure!
Can’t forget the brunch we had at a quaint little coffee shop in Dorado that had a huge menu that we never would’ve thought this place would have. I had vegetable omelet with avocado and scalloped potatoes and loved it!!
Everything was so full of color and alive. We are truly blessed and thankful to have had this opportunity.
Puerto Rico is beautiful and unlike anyplace we have visited.
I hope you enjoy the pictures and if it’s on your bucket list, plan that trip to Puerto Rico.
You will not be disappointed!
